Managed Security with Change Control

If your organization is subject to any regulations imposed by government or industry entities, they will never explicitly tell you what to do, what to purchase, or how to resolve the compliance challenges you face. But all of them will mandate that you keep track of changes made to your configuration (change management).
In general, change management is very good practice in running your IT department. It enables you to plan for changes, to avoid contradictory changes made by different personnel, and to determine whether a change is really needed and if it would have any foreseeable adverse impact somewhere else. It also allows managerial control over planned changes (change control).
When it comes to managing your security gateway, all this is of utmost importance. Making changes to the firewall configuration without proper planning and authorization is not only unadvisable, it can also be dangerous – not to mention that an audit would find you immediately noncompliant if the configuration could not be properly tracked to well-documented change requests.
Network Box USA helps you solve this aspect of your compliance needs by providing a state-of-the-art ticketing system, which we call Box Office. Once you become our customer, you’ll receive as many login IDs as you need for your IT department, so various personnel can make change requests and report issues to our Network Operation Center (NOC). Every ticket is permanently stored in our database, so you always have online access to all your ticket information, e.g., who opened it, who at Network Box worked it, and what was done and when.
The system has four global mirrors to ensure access anytime from anywhere. When your Network Box unified threat management (UTM) appliance is installed, we create a first ”installation” ticket, and from that point on, the history of all changes and issues for your UTM device is tracked via our online ticketing system.
Every time a ticket is opened, updated or closed, you’ll automatically be notified. These notifications can be configured as to your preference, and they allow you to keep a very close eye on what’s being done with your Network Box UTM gateway-protection device. With Box Office, your change management and change control needs are immediately met
Boxoffice also provides you with immediate access to our NOC, showing you most of the parameters and alerts being monitored on your UTM device. If something requires your attention, you will be notified at once – automatically. Notifications can be sent to you at any number of email addresses, to your iPhone/iPad Network Box app, or to your telephone or email as a text message.
You may also configure where and when you want to receive notifications; for example, you can choose to be notified on your office email during business days/hours and on your iPhone after business hours, weekends, and holidays. With the Network Box notification system, you are always immediately informed about what’s happening with your Internet protection.
