Web Browsing Protection
Protecting your users when they browse the Internet entails two different tasks:
- ensuring they do not accidentally (or willingly) end up on websites that are either inappropriate for a work environment or flat-out dangerous.
- scanning for viruses on even the most trusted websites .
Most of the new threats attempting to enter our networks are being delivered by means of infected websites. Known and commonly used websites are not immune, as they can be compromised, unbeknown to the site owners, and can be used to deliver malware. Therefore, the protection needs to be thorough, with an awareness that threats can come from anywhere.
It is very important to keep users from getting to sites that could be dangerous, and it’s equally important to scan sites that are considered “safe” to ensure they are really are so, free of malware.
