Microsoft Releases Light Patch Tuesday Update for September

Microsoft released a light Patch Tuesday update for September, but system administrators still have a lot of work to do before October to prepare for the new certificate rules.

Microsoft released only two bulletins as part of September’s Patch Tuesday release, according to the company’s update notification advisory. The patches deal with issues in Team Foundation Server, an add-on component to Visual Studio, and System Center Configuration Manager, a centralized deployment server that enterprises use to push out updates, scripts, and configuration changes to all the machines in the network.
